It is run by the Holy Cross Institute Hazaribag, Jharkhand. The school was founded on 06th Dec 1976 by the Sr. Catherine who came from Switzerland and laid the foundation stone for the school Pawan Krus School , Bhurkunda. Feb. 02 1977 was the inauguration of our Kindergarten School with the strength 300. The motto of our school is Love & Service. At present the strength of school is about 1500. T

he number of teaching staff is 35 who are well qualified to impart knowledge and enable the students in every way. Though the school is in remote area it has made significant progress over the years and now the school has gone upto std. Result performance is 100%. The school campus has got a big building, Montessori sections separtly and classes I to Xhaving separate buildings. The Principal�s office , The teacher�s staff room and the office in ground floor. We are proud to have a spacious & well equipped labs for demonstration of Physics , Chemistry Biology & Mathematics & A Full equipped Computer Lab separately to provide Computer education from classes III to X students. The school has also a Library which have a good collection of Books. It has about 10000 books.The campus has been beautified with flower garden & various plants the add colour to the joys of children while learning. In order to give a sportive space of the children a decisive direction the school has an open stage, a volley Ball court, 2 big playgrounds available in the campus. The co-curricular part of education is accomplished by a cultural hall. So, we have one school hall for the students to develop their talents , different competitions such as dance , speech , quiz etc. The students study in the school from all over Bhurkunda coal fields area like River side, Religarha, Sunda D, Saunda Basti, CCL Saunda, Giddi, Lapanga , Sayal , Urimari etc. The school gives opportunity to all w/o discrimination of caste , colour & creed. Rich or poor alike. Nestled in the lap of native and far from the madding turmoil of cities. Pawan Krus School has been the �. Where the secrets of achievements & fulfillment be. The little star thet has been once started twinkling now the pole star which is the guiding light of every ambitious youngster. The school achieved the opening permission by Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi in 2008. Now the school is hoping soon to get recognition by the Jharkhand State Govt.
