Hello there!Hope you all are doing well.Coming straight to my topic,Through this post i want to address 4 categories of the student community in Rampur,uttar pradesh or nearby areas.
CATEGORY 1:For those who just want to get admission into a private engineering or medical college and have a gala time out there or those students who just want the tag of an engineer or doctor and their parents have hefty amount then my friend plz don’t waste ur time coz this post might be lenghty and won’t be that much fruitful.
CATEGORY 2:Students appearing for their cbse class 10 board exams in 2025 and are willing to appear in JEE(main+advanced)/NEET in 2-3 years from now On alongwith their school studies.Yes i urge parents/students to kindly go through this post
CATEGORY 3: Students who are appearing for their class 12 board exams in 2025 and have wasted their 2 years and regret it yet have some hopes left and still want to come up with flying colors in JEE(M+A) /NEET 2026(yes,not 2025).I think you have got the idea that i am talking especially of students who want to take a drop in 2025 for JEE/NEET 2026.This post also might be useful for this category
CATEGORY 4:Those students/parents who share the perception that online coaching or studying through youtube channels or taking a correspondence course of a particular institute and attending free/paid online doubt classes is sufficient to get a decent percentile or a rank to get admission into iits/iiits/nits/bitsat/aiims etc.Well sorry,this post might not be useful for them also.
So yes category no.2 and no.3 this post is especially for you.
According to the latest statistics of 2024,11.3 lakh students appeared in jee main(combining both January and april shifts)out of which only students who bagged the top 98 percentile that is AIR upto 20,000 got nits,iits or some good government colleges.
For NEET 2024 around 63.5 lakhs of students appeared and only 50-60 thousand students got government medical colleges.😳😳yeah that’s the bitter reality of these exams😔approximately only 1 to 2 percent of the total students achieved milestone of getting admission in a government college.
As far as my inspection and observation,the most common misconception of students in Rampur is that they consider that only relocating to KOTA OR DELHI and getting admission in a good preparatory institute no matter how much hefty amount their parents/guardians spend for the whole academic year might guarantee their selection.
Well i appeared in cbse 2012 from Ranchi,jharkhand and cracked some good engineering entrance exams and that so with a decent rank.At that time there was no JEE MAIN,it was called as AIEEE(ALL INDIA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM)and there were no multiple shifts or sessions.Concept of Jee main and advanced started in 2013.
To be very honest i must say that the present difficulty level of questions is not that much comparable with earlier subjective papers of IITJEE.Man! that was very much dreadfull.😕😭and when iitjee objective only format started in 2007 concepts from previous year subjective papers were merged and the nightmare in the entire jee history was of that of IITJEE 2010.
Anyway i don’t you people to get a phobia for jee or neet.Yes all you require is regular classes merged with dpps(daily practice papers),cpps(classroom practice problems),doubt sessions,regular fortnightly test(test every 2 weeks) and regular student/parent -teacher-counselling.I am damn sure that if you are serious enough in these coming couple of years you will not only land yourself in a good government medical college or government engineering college and if you are very much determined you can crack jee advance also but yes it requires some sacrifices.These are as follows:-
1)Quit social media(insta,fb,quora etc)If possible switch to a basic phone and my advice is to quit smartphone.It’s one of the most tough,important and crucial sacrifice.
2)Just don’t watch those bu****it 100 days or 50 days or crash course strategy which nowadays is quite common on youtube .To be honest ,very few mentors talk about 2 years strategy.Majority of the online courses for neet/jee main(FORGET JEE ADVANCE COZ THAT’S NOT A PIECE OF CAKE)which can be achieved in 60-70 days.This startegy is fruitfull for those candidates who have completed their course and are just revising their concepts giving aits etc.Rank booster problems should not be done at the beginning of your prep.
3)Too much of study material from different institutes.They say “too many cooks spoil the broath.”Yes buddy that’s absolutely true.I have faced this problem.Just have a soft copy of any institute from the net and download the questions,exercises and pyqs of the chapter which you are studying that time.Get a print of it if possible and do not download subsequent chapters.Once u complete your ongoing chapter then only move on to the next unit/chapter downloading/printing.
