A seer of life, a unique combination of logic & sensibility, a true cosmopolitan and philanthropist, Basanti Devi witnessed life with immense impulse. Inspired by the holy preaching of Swami Vivekanand, she had always sung for the oppressed and depressed humanity. She relentlessly propagated for the necessity of expansion of 'free knowledge' to subdue the fangs of the social malign forces.
Her physical entity is not with us anymore, this day (01/02/2006) she left us,but her pioneering inspirations are always with us for our enlightment and always will be.

আজ তাঁর মৃত্যুবার্ষিকীতে গভীর শ্রদ্ধায় মাথা নত করি। তিনি ছিলেন মানবসেবায় নিবেদিত এক আলোকিত মানুষ।নিঃস্বার্থভাবে সমাজের জন্য কাজ করাই ছিল তাঁর জীবনদর্শন। দুঃখী মানুষের মুখে হাসি ফোটানোই ছিল তাঁর আনন্দ।নিজের কথা ভুলে তিনি ভাবতেন অন্যের কথা।তাঁর হাতে সাহস পেয়েছে অসংখ্য অসহায় মানুষ।
তিনি নেই, কিন্তু তাঁর কাজ আজও কথা বলে।সমাজসেবার পথে তিনি রেখে গেছেন অনন্য দৃষ্টান্ত, সৃষ্টিকর্তা যেন তাঁর আত্মাকে শান্তি দান করেন। তিনি চিরশান্তিতে বিশ্রাম নিন 🙏❤️।
