Students from the Civil and Mechanical Engineering departments of Global Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moinabad had the opportunity to gain real-world exposure through an industrial visit to Singoor Hydel Power Station (GENCO), Telangana on 3rd March 2026.
During the visit, students explored the dam structure, spillway systems, turbine operations, and hydroelectric power generation process. The GENCO team guided them through different sections of the plant, explaining structural design, water flow management, energy conversion, and plant maintenance practices.
A total of 46 students along with 6 faculty coordinators participated in this informative visit. The experience helped bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and practical engineering applications, while also inspiring students to understand the importance of renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.
The visit was a valuable learning experience that strengthened technical understanding and encouraged students to explore the future of engineering innovation.
