Today, Teachers' Day 2026 was celebrated with appropriate solemnity and reverence in our college. The students of the Department of English played very important roles in making the event more than successful. Aastha Mukherjee of 7th Semester compered the programme with poise and elan. Mitra Dutta's (5th Semester) recitation was touching. Equally appealing was Piu Kar's (5th Semester) presentation of Subha Dasgupta's poem. Mention must be made of the melifluous rendition of a Tagore Song by Sutrishna Nayak of 1st Semester. The active agnecy of Rajeshwari Ruidas of 7th Semester and Piu Kar (5th Semester) as volunteers did not go unnoticed.
