The Basic and Applied Sciences track of the International Conference on “Indian Knowledge System: From Glorious Path to Bright Future” highlighted the significance of integrating traditional Indian wisdom with contemporary scientific approaches. A total of 144 participants from various departments—Chemistry, Botany, Biotechnology, Physics, Zoology, Mathematics, Home Science, and Physiotherapy—actively contributed to the event. The conference served as a vibrant platform for research scholars and students to present their innovative ideas and findings. Best Presentation Awards were conferred to outstanding contributors, including Swati Bhardwaj (Physics), Jyoti (Chemistry), Anjali Kajal (Botany), Dimple, Ruby, and Poonam Mundlia (Zoology), Shefali (Mathematics), Hanshika (Biotechnology), and Navdeep Bisla (Physiotherapy), all from Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak. The event celebrated the essence of the Indian Knowledge System, fostering a bridge between India’s glorious intellectual heritage and its bright scientific future. In this session, the keynote speaker Dr. Parveen Bhatt elaborated on the systematic aspects of Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) and their significant contributions to the field of science. Dr. Bhatt highlighted how traditional knowledge, rooted in centuries-old practices, continues to influence and enrich modern scientific approaches. The session was chaired by Dr. Ravi Kumar Rana, who ensured the smooth conduct of the proceedings. Dr. Manoj Kumar Verma, Dean of Research, along with programme coordinators from various departments, graced the occasion with their presence. These included Dr. Pallvi Bhardwaj (Chemistry), Dr. Seema Kumari (Botany), Dr. Neha Verma (Biotechnology), Dr. Vikas Bhardwaj (Zoology), and Dr. Vinod Kumar (Mathematics). The event was well-attended by faculty members, research scholars, students, and other participants, reflecting a collective interest in exploring the integration of indigenous knowledge with contemporary scientific research.
