It was felt that in the country, in general, and in North India in particular, institutions imparting education in the field of performing and visual arts especially those having an integrated approach were not t

here. Therefore, the State Government decided to established an integrated campus of four world class Institutes offering education in the field of Design, Fine Arts, Urban Planning & Architecture and Film & Television for young and aspiring students.
