This project was with the implementation of the vision of Founder Late Er. Gurcharan Singh, under the Kandi Friends Educational Trust, Mohali, that IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) took shape in 1997. While the first batch of students joined at a temporary location in Mohali, the institute later moved to its own campus -- a sprawling 60 acres of lush green, pollution-free environment,

set in rural settings, away from the built-up urban clutter, at village Bhaddal in Roopnagar (Ropar) district, at the turn of the millennium. The location is well-connected by the Roopnagar-Chandigarh road (National Highway 21).

The 14th Convocation of the Institution is convened on 29th January, 2016 (Friday). The Chief Guest of the program is His Holiness “Sri Gurvanand Swami Ji”. The expected Guest of Honors will be Education Minister-Punjab, Chief Justice/Justice-Tricity, Vice Chancellor-Punjabi University Patiala, and Director-IIT-Ropar. The other dignitaries are also invited for the occasion and will be a gathering of about 4000 people including all.
All eligible students are requested to contact HOD's or Student Section for registration.

On 7th of November was organized a small but heartwarming Alumni meet.
The meet was attended by small group of the most enterprising Alumni across various batches and various parts of the country and outside the country.
It was a good beginning and we hope to continue this tradition.
