Mr. Sufiyan Mirza presented the research paper titled:

“Smart and Sustainable Utilization of C&D Waste for High-Performance and Resilient Urban Infrastructure”

Glocal University Welcomes New Students Through Deeksharambh 2026

Glocal University, Saharanpur, warmly welcomed its newly admitted students through Deeksharambh – Student Induction Programme 2026, introducing them to the University’s academic environment, culture, campus life and opportunities.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by the welcome address by Prof. Shivani Tiwari, Registrar. Mr. Syed Nizamuddin, Additional Pro-Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) John Finbe, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, shared their guidance and best wishes with the students.

Deans, Principals and senior officials addressed the students, while cultural performances and university video presentations added energy and vibrancy to the programme.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Ashrita Dubey, followed by the National Anthem, group photograph and lunch.
Deeksharambh 2026 marked a memorable beginning to the students’ academic journey at Glocal University.

Glocal University Celebrated 80th Independence Day with Pride and Patriotic Spirit

Glocal University celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with joy, pride, and a strong sense of patriotism. The campus came alive with the spirit of the nation as students, faculty members, university officials, and staff came together to mark this special occasion.

The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Mr. Syed Nizamuddin, Additional Pro-Chancellor; Prof. Shivani Tiwari, Registrar; and Prof. (Dr.) John Finbe, Pro Vice-Chancellor, followed by the National Anthem.

Adding to the spirit of the day, students presented vibrant patriotic performances and shared inspiring thoughts that reminded everyone of the values that make our nation stronger unity, responsibility, service, and love for our country.

In their addresses, the university leadership spoke about the significance of Independence Day and the important role young people can play in shaping India’s future. They encouraged students to embrace discipline, stay united, take responsibility for society, and actively contribute to the vision of a developed India.

A special moment of the celebration was the induction of the newly constituted Student Committee. Under the guidance of Dr. Shobha Tripathi, DSW, committee members were presented with their badges and entrusted with their responsibilities. Prof. Shivani Tiwari, Registrar, administered the oath, as students pledged to uphold the dignity of the University, maintain discipline, and work sincerely for the welfare of their fellow students.

The occasion was also a celebration of achievement and appreciation. Students who performed exceptionally well in various competitions were honoured with prizes and certificates. The dedicated efforts of the University’s support staff were also recognised with certificates of appreciation and gifts.

More than a celebration, the day was a reminder of the values we wish to nurture in our students patriotism, leadership, discipline, compassion, social responsibility, and a commitment to building a better India.

Glocal University Organizes Awareness Programme on Workplace Sexual Harassment

Glocal University organized an awareness programme on “Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace: Promoting Respect, Safety and Equality” under the Committee Against Sexual Harassment (CASH).

Prof. Shivani Tiwari, Registrar, and Mr. Syed Nizamuddin, Additional Pro Chancellor, highlighted the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive campus.

Students presented an awareness skit under the guidance of Dr. Nikita Chandel. Dr. Reshma Tahir, Chairperson, CASH, emphasized the Committee’s commitment to fair complaint resolution and a dignified environment. Dr. Babu Khan explained the complaint-filing procedure and Committee functioning.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shobha Tripathi, DSW, followed by the National Anthem.
