Don’t Chase Money. Create Value.

“Don’t go for money. Go for many. You create value for many, and money will follow.”

Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, Vice Chairman, Sona Institutions, shares a powerful perspective on success, purpose and building a lasting brand.

Instead of making money the primary objective, focus on: ✨ Creating value
✨ Building your brand
✨ Creating opportunities
✨ Impacting many lives

As he says, “If you run after money, money will not run after you.”

The real measure of success is not just how much you earn, but how much value you create and how many lives you impact.

Sona–California Alumni Meet 2026 🇺🇸

Building bridges, one reunion at a time! We're delighted to share the highlights from the Sona–California Alumni Meet, held on 6 September 2026, where 11 alumni — 9 from Sona College of Technology and 2 from TPT — came together to strengthen ties within our growing global alumni network.

The gathering, held over a warm lunch with our esteemed Vice-Chairman, Mr. Chocko Valliappa , created a valuable space for alumni to network, reconnect with old friends, exchange perspectives on their professional journeys, and explore new opportunities for collaboration across industries and geographies.

Our heartfelt thanks to Chocko sir for taking the time to engage personally with our alumni community in California. His presence reinforced just how important these networking touchpoints are in keeping our alumni ecosystem thriving — regardless of distance.

We also thank every alumnus who took the time to attend and contribute to a meaningful evening of connection and camaraderie.

Our motto continues to guide us: Strengthening connections with our alumni, wherever they are in the world. 🌍

Interested in connecting with fellow Sona alumni in your city? Reach out — our global network is always growing.
