Experiential Learning Session at Samalkha Group of Institutions
An interactive learning session on “Meliorate Body Language” was conducted along with the experiential management activity “Blind Group with Two Eyes.”
The “Blind Group with Two Eyes” activity was conducted with a group of 11 students. Out of the 11, 10 students were blindfolded, while the 11th student became the leader. The leader guided the team through non-verbal instructions and gestures, helping the blindfolded teammates move forward and burst balloons one by one.
The activity was designed to develop teamwork, trust, coordination, leadership, observation, non-verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. It demonstrated how effective communication is possible even without spoken words when team members understand and trust each other.
Following the activity, an informative session on “Meliorate Body Language” was conducted by Prof. Amit Sharma, where students learned about the importance of professional attire, confident posture, facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, grooming, and overall body language during placement interviews and professional interactions.
The session helped students understand that first impressions matter, and that confident body language and appropriate professional attire can play an important role in presenting oneself effectively during placement opportunities.
