The 𝐈𝐈𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐑 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐨𝐟-𝐢𝐭𝐬-𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 educational institute. The Govt. of Goa has allocated a sprawling piece of land in South Goa. The will have its initial world-class transit campus with smart classrooms in Sancoale", Dr Pramod Sawant, CM of said.

“The IIULER will have a global standard and a well-equipped residential facility for both students and faculties with air-conditioned rooms, swimming pool, gym, hygienic food court, laundry facility, and proper security. The IIULER shall offer multi-disciplinary courses (undergraduate, post-graduate and research-based courses along with multiple customised, creative law learning programmes) with proper integration of law.”, Chairman of Manan Kumar Mishra said.

The 𝐈𝐈𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐓-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 (for UG and PG Law Programmes) takes place on the 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮. The last date for registration for the IIULET is the 𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮.

Shri Dr Pramod Sawant, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗮 is a Member Trustee. Hon'ble 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 U.U. Lalit is the visitor. Hon'ble Justices BR Gavai and Surya Kant are also Member Trustees, and Justice PS Narasimha is the Chancellor.

The general council, executive council and advisory board of the institution consist of several Supreme Court Judges, High Court Chief Justices, Senior Advocates and noted academicians.

Additionally, teaching duties shall be carried out not only by noted academicians but also by Judges, Senior Advocates, and Jurists as guest teachers in order to fittingly prepare the students.

"The IIULER is a first-of-its-kind 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 institute in the country. The institute will have its initial world-class transit campus with 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 at Kala Bhavan, Sancaole, Shri Manan Kumar Mishra, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 of the Bar Council of India said at the ceremony in June 2022.

"It will also have a 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 and a well-equipped residential facility for both students and faculties with air-conditioned rooms, swimming pool, gym, hygienic food court, laundry facility and security," he said.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗮, Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the India International University of Legal Education and Research (𝗜𝗜𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗥) by BAR Council India Trust-Pearl First on the 9th of June, 2022 at Kala Bhavan, Sancaole, Goa.

The IIULER aims to develop legal education on par with international standards and provide comprehensive justice education thereby making accomplished advocates and judges for society.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant expressed hope that IIULER will bring new reforms in the legal education sector of the State. The university will help to introduce new educational courses of international standards in the State, he added.

Judge, Supreme Court of India, Justice B. R. Gavai in his address lauded the State Government for being proactive in providing assistance to set up IIULER in Goa. "This will be the only University of Law in India to have 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀", he pointed.

The Chairman, BCI Trust, Shri. Manan Kumar Mishra informing about the aims and objectives of IIULER added that admissions for the academic year 2022-23 would take place through the entrance exam (𝗜𝗜𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗧).

Judge, Supreme Court of India Justice Surya Kant, Justice M. M. Sunderesh, Justice M. S. Sonak, Advocate General, and Adv. Devidas Pangam also spoke on the occasion.
