The Goa Marathon is an annual event organized for the cause of Homes for the Homeless and Hope for the Hopeless. It serves runners from all skill levels, from first-time marathoners to veteran racers, runners, run-walkers and walkers. Brought to you by El Shaddai Charitable Trust and supported by the Goa Athletic Association, this marathon is one of the most interesting and enjoyable marathons in
India, as you get a chance to race across the scenic River Mandovi. Every penny collected through this event is used to build safe homes for people from marginalized communities and to bring happiness and hope to the underprivileged children of society. We’re delighted to inform you that El Shaddai Charitable Trust is hosting Goa Marathon 2023 on 12th February 2023 for the tenth consecutive year. The event aims to raise funds to provide the following:
1. Safe and decent homes for families in need
2. Sanitation facilities for target communities
3. Educational centres for children in Goa
The Goa Marathon 2020 was a great success with over 7000+ students, corporate executives and defence personnel participating in the event and testing their mettle on the 21 km, 10K, 5 km and the school run, which started and ended at the Campal Ground. The event which was supported by a media campaign created a buzz across Goa and attracted spectators besides participants. The 2020 edition promises to be better and even bigger with an aim to reach 5000 participants and raise even more funds for the objectives stated above. Every penny collected through this event shall be used to build safe homes for people from marginalized communities, and to bring happiness and hope to the underprivileged children of society.
