Shershah Engineering College, Sasaram

Industrial visit to PGCIL Pusauli, Kaimur was organized for the students of 5th semester of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. In this visit, 59 students participated under the guidance of Mr. Raman Kumar and Mr. Shailesh Saurabh, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department.

Senior officials of PGCIL explained the students about various equipments like Current Transformer (CT), Capacitive Voltage Transformer (CVT), Interconnecting Transformer (ICT), Circuit Breaker Isolator Lightning Arrester, Wave Trap Shunt Reactor Thyristor Valve and Cooling Unit. Explained in detail. Along with this, he also answered the questions of the students related to the methods of working and career opportunities in PGCIL.

The students also thanked the site engineer for providing information and Dr. Manish Kumar, the principal of the institution for this opportunity.

On January 23, 2023, hosted an on-campus drive for the position of Production Engineer for the Mechanical and Electrical Branch students at Dhoot Transmission Private Limited. 25 students from the institution's final year were selected for the mentioned drive. Dr. Manish Kumar, the college's principal, expressed pleasure over the students' success, while TPO Mr. Maruti Nandan Mishra gave all of the students at the institution the assurance that they would continue to conduct similar drives in the future for a great future.

In honor of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, on the auspicious occasion of National Mathematics Day on December 22, his birthday, the students of the Rohtas district were Qualified in the Srinivasa Ramanujan Talent Search Test 2022 got there Certificates & Prizes.
The program was started by jointly lighting the lamp by the Principal of the college, Dr. Manish Kumar, BCST Coordinator Professor Sarfaraz Alam and the Heads of all the departments. During the programme, Professor Sudhir Kumar gave a lecture highlighting the importance of mathematics in common life and awakening interest in mathematics. Mr. Kumar told that under this programme, class-wise examination was conducted from December 9 to 15, in which students from class 6 to class 12 appeared. 10 meritorious students of each class have been honored with certificates, medals and cash prizes. In the end, Professor Sarfaraz Alam gave credit to the Principal of the college, all the department heads and student coordinators for successfully organizing the event.

On-campus hiring for Er Post in UltraTech Cement (Aditya Birla Group) Company was held at Shershah Engineering College, Sasaram on December 1, 2022. In the the above drive, three Civil Engineering students from the institution's 2022 passout batch were chosen on a 3.0 LPA package. The Principal of the institution, Dr. Manish Kumar, congratulated the students on their success, and TPO Mr. Maruti Nandan Mishra assured all students of the institute that such drives would be organised in the future.

On-campus drive for L1 Support Engineer in HCL Technologies was organized by Smartbrains at today. A total of 105 students of the last year of the institution participated in the said drive, in which a total of 21 students were selected for the HR round in the first phase. After that a total of 15 students including 7 girls students and 8 boys students of the institution were finally selected in HCL Technologies at 2.8 LPA, out of which 4 in CSE branch, 4 in EEE branch, 4 in Civil branch and 4 in Mechanical branch.

On this success of the students, Principal of the institution Dr. Manish Kumar and TPO Mr. Maruti Nandan Mishra congratulated all the sure students for their bright future.
