Main Suite (KET, PET, FCE) Exams, .. YLE (Starters, Movers, Flyers) Exams and .. TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test). Earlier, recognised as a Preparation Centre in 2005, BIT has successfully trained over 8000 candidates for BEC -

Vantage, Preliminary & Higher candidates through the British Council Division, Chennai. The parent body, Department of Languages, has a rich heritage of having produced many examiners for prominent examination bodies like CELA, British Council (IELTS), and Trinity College, London. The department also holds a rare distinction of the only language department in a self-financing institution conducting 3 International Conferences namely ICEG 2004, ICEG 2005 & Gender Mainstreaming in Engineering Education - 2014. In addition to English, the department presently offers German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and Hindi language training to the students - all leading to International Certifications.
