As a part of Anti-Ragging Week – 2026, a Screening of Short Films/Television Commercials (TVCs) on Anti-Ragging Awareness was organized for the students and faculty members of the college.

During the activity, various short films and awareness videos against ragging were screened using a projector. The videos highlighted the harmful physical, psychological, social, and academic consequences of ragging and emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful educational environment.

Students and faculty members actively participated in the screening programme. The short films presented real-life situations and awareness messages related to ragging, helping the participants understand the seriousness of ragging and the importance of preventing such incidents in educational institutions.

The screening also emphasized that ragging is strictly prohibited and that students should immediately report any incident or threat of ragging to the appropriate authorities. Faculty members were also encouraged to remain vigilant and support students in maintaining a ragging-free campus.

Objectives

1. To create awareness among students and faculty members about the harmful effects of ragging.

2. To educate participants about the importance of preventing ragging.

3. To promote a safe, friendly, and respectful college environment.

Report on Anti-Ragging Week 2026 – Quiz Competition

Report

As a part of Anti-Ragging Week – 2026, an online Quiz Competition on Anti-Ragging Awareness was organized for the students of the college with the objective of creating awareness regarding ragging, its consequences, prevention, and the legal provisions related to anti-ragging.

A total of 50 multiple-choice questions were prepared for the quiz. Each question carried 2 marks, making the total marks 100. The questions covered various aspects of anti-ragging, including the definition of ragging, preventive measures, responsibilities of students and institutions, reporting mechanisms, and the importance of maintaining a safe and ragging-free campus.

Approximately 60–80 students actively participated in the quiz competition and enthusiastically completed the quiz within the stipulated time. The activity provided students with an opportunity to assess and improve their knowledge about anti-ragging measures while promoting a positive and respectful academic environment.

Objectives

1. To create awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging.

2. To educate students about anti-ragging rules and regulations.

3. To promote a safe, friendly, and ragging-free campus environment.

As a part of Anti-Ragging Week – 2026, an Anti-Ragging Awareness Rally was organized on 18 August 2026 by Abasaheb Kakade College of B.Pharmacy, Bodhegaon. The main objective of the rally was to create awareness among students and the general public regarding the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a safe, respectful, and ragging-free educational environment.

For the awareness campaign, students and staff members prepared various anti-ragging posters and awareness messages highlighting the harmful effects of ragging, the importance of maintaining discipline, and the need to prevent ragging in educational institutions.

The rally commenced from the college campus and proceeded towards Bodhegaon Police Station. Students and staff actively participated in the rally carrying anti-ragging posters and raising awareness messages against ragging. The rally also helped in spreading the message of “Say No to Ragging” among the local community.

During the rally, students were encouraged to maintain discipline and promote friendship, mutual respect, and a positive atmosphere within the college campus. The activity also highlighted the responsibility of students and staff members in preventing and reporting incidents of ragging.

As a part of the Anti-Ragging Week 2026 celebration, an Anti-Ragging Workshop was organized at Navmaharashtra Shikshan Mandal’s Karmyogi Abasaheb Kakade Institute of Pharmacy & Research, Bodhegaon on 13th August 2026 at 11:00 AM.

The programme was anchored by Prof. Chetna Sancheti, who welcomed all the dignitaries, faculty members, supporting staff and students and introduced the objectives of the workshop.

Dr. Hemant Gangurde, Principal, addressed the students and emphasized that the college campus is a ragging-free campus. He motivated the students to maintain a safe, respectful and positive environment and encouraged everyone to ensure that the campus remains free from ragging in the future as well.

The invited guest speaker for the workshop, Prof. Rushikesh Deshmukh, delivered an informative session on ragging, its harmful effects, prevention and the importance of maintaining a ragging-free campus. He created awareness among the students and faculty members regarding the seriousness of ragging and encouraged everyone to actively contribute towards creating a safe and supportive academic environment. He also appreciated the efforts of the institution in maintaining a ragging-free campus.

The workshop witnessed active participation from all teaching staff, supporting staff and students. The programme helped to create awareness among the participants about the prevention of ragging and reinforced the commitment of the institution towards maintaining a safe, disciplined and inclusive campus.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Amol Supekar, Programme Coordinator.

Outcome of the Workshop

The workshop successfully sensitized students and staff regarding the adverse effects of ragging and the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful and ragging-free campus. The participants expressed their commitment to supporting the institution's anti-ragging initiatives.
