National Law University Meghalaya hosted a panel discussion on “Understanding POCSO in Meghalaya: Legal Awareness, Adolescent Behaviour, and Preventive Child Protection” on 5th September 2026 at the Abdul Kalam Auditorium.

The discussion highlighted the importance of legal awareness, understanding adolescent behaviour, and strengthening preventive measures for child protection.

The National Law University of Meghalaya commemorated World Su***de Prevention Day 2026 with a panel discussion on “Changing the Narrative on Su***de: Start the Conversation.” The programme brought together mental health professionals, counsellors, faculty and students to promote awareness, empathy and meaningful conversations around su***de prevention.

The National Law University of Meghalaya organised an Online Special Lecture on “Investigation of Crimes” on 28 August 2026, delivered by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Abhay Shrinivas Oka (Retd.), Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.

The session, attended by the Vice-Chancellor, faculty members and students, offered valuable insights into criminal investigation, evidence, forensic procedures, fair trial and the role of investigating officers, followed by an engaging Q&A session.

Students and Faculty of the National Law University of Meghalaya attended the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Autumn Session 2026 on the 27th of August 2026.

The students’ visit to the Assembly provided first hand experience in policy-making and public policy, serving as a vital learning experience.
