Our college expresses profound grief on the passing of the legendary Pandavani folk artist Padma Vibhushan Teejan Bai.

Her extraordinary contribution to Indian folk music and the rich tradition of Pandavani will continue to inspire generations of artists and music lovers. Through her powerful performances and unwavering dedication to preserving our cultural heritage, she created a lasting legacy that will always be remembered.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, admirers, and the entire artistic fraternity. May the Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to all those mourning this immense loss.

Jawahar Lal Nehru Government College of Fine Arts expresses deep sorrow on the demise of Asha Bhosle Ji, the legendary singer whose timeless voice and immense contribution to Indian music will forever inspire generations. Her loss is deeply felt across the nation.
The college also pays heartfelt tribute to Sh. Krishan Kumar, Retd. Professor of Tabla, H.P. University Shimla, and Sh. Madan Gautam, noted violinist associated with Lalit Kala Academy and the Language & Culture Department.
Sh. Krishan Kumar Ji was a devoted teacher and an exceptional tabla exponent who dedicated his life to the promotion of Indian classical music. His invaluable contribution to the field of music education will always be remembered.
Sh. Madan Gautam Ji, through his soulful violin performances, greatly enriched the cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. His association with prestigious institutions and his artistic excellence earned him immense respect in the artistic community.
Both artists made invaluable contributions to the cultural and musical heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
May their souls rest in peace and their legacy continue to inspire.

The inauguration of the Gorilla Sculpture, designed and prepared by our own students, marked a memorable moment on our college campus. The event was graced by the presence of all staff members, the Principal of the college, and the Principal of JMK School as a guest. 📌 Gender Equality & Awareness Programme | JLNGC of Fine Arts, Shimla

The NSS Unit, in collaboration with the Women Cell and Road Safety Club of JLN Govt. College of Fine Arts, Shimla, successfully organized an awareness programme under the Gender Equality Initiative, focusing on Women’s Sexual Harassment, Health & Hygiene along with Road Safety Awareness.

🔹 Dr. Babu Ram, Super Speciality Hospital, Chamayana, sensitised students on issues related to women’s safety, sexual harassment, health, and hygiene.
🔹 The Road Safety Club created awareness about traffic rules and responsible road behaviour.
🔹 NSS and college volunteers presented meaningful skits highlighting social issues and road safety.
🔹 Dr. Madan Jhalata, Guest Faculty, HPU, also sensitised students on various aspects of road safety.

The Principal of the college expressed heartfelt thanks to both the resource persons for their valuable contribution and guidance.
