A one-day hands-on workshop on UI/UX in Real Applications was successfully organized by ASTROS – First Year Students’ Organization, Department of Science and Humanities, SRIEIT, Shiroda. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and practical aspects of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design.
The session was conducted by Ms. Purva Vaingankar, a professional UI/UX Designer from Designway, Panjim. She began the workshop by explaining the core principles of UI and UX, emphasizing the importance of user-centered design, usability, and visual communication in modern digital applications. The session also highlighted the role of UI/UX design in real-world applications such as mobile apps, websites, e-commerce platforms, and software systems, helping students understand how good design improves user satisfaction and accessibility.
The workshop was highly interactive and practice-oriented. Students actively participated in various hands-on activities, where they applied the concepts learned during the session. They were guided through the basis process of designing like Logos, Posters and Basic 3D animations. These activities enabled students to explore their creativity while gaining practical exposure to design tools and techniques. Overall, the workshop was informative and engaging, providing valuable insights into the field of UI/UX design. It also encouraged students to develop their creative thinking and consider UI/UX as a potential career path.
