The Department of Economics, Sibsagar University, successfully conducted an Orientation Programme with the Sivasagar Municipal Board for students participating in the upcoming internship programme.

The session provided valuable insights into the functioning of local administration, public service delivery, and the dynamics of citizen-government interaction. Such exposure will help students bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world governance, fostering a deeper understanding of administrative processes and community engagement.

The Department of Economics, Sibsagar University successfully concluded its Community Work Drive in connection with the FYUGP 4th Semester Community Work Course in collaboration with Prayash Development Society, Sibsagar, Assam.

Through 60 hours of compulsory community engagement, the students actively participated in resource mobilization, collection of reusable items, and outreach activities aimed at supporting underprivileged communities. The initiative fostered social responsibility, teamwork, empathy, and sustainable practices among students.

We sincerely thank all community members, volunteers, and our NGO partner for making this programme a success.
