"Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works." �

The week featured engaging activities including reels making, slogan and poster competitions, fun games, health awareness sessions, live demonstrations, and a valedictory programme. These initiatives empowered nursing students while educating ANC and PNC mothers on the importance of early initiation, exclusive breastfeeding, proper breastfeeding techniques, maternal nutrition, and newborn care. � �

Department of Health and Family Welfare DNH&DD and NAMO Hospital, in collaboration with NAMO College of Nursing, Silvassa, observed World Zoonotic Disease Day to raise awareness about diseases that can spread between animals and humans.
The programme emphasized the importance of prevention, early detection, hygiene, vaccination, food safety, and the One Health approach, highlighting the shared responsibility of protecting the health of people, animals, and the environment.
Together, let us spread awareness, promote healthy practices, and work towards preventing zoonotic diseases for a safer and healthier future.

On the occasion of World No To***co Day, students from Namo College of Nursing performed a powerful role-play highlighting the dangers of smoking and sharing vital knowledge on how to control and quit to***co use. This was followed by a collective pledge to choose health over smoke. Furthermore, the students actively took this education directly to the source—local shopkeepers. Every decision to quit is a step toward a brighter, cleaner future! 🚭

📱 Managing Screen Time & Exam Stress! 🧠
The NAMO College of Nursing, UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, successfully conducted an essential Awareness Programme on Screen Addiction and Exam Stress Management on December 4, 2025.
Screen Addiction: Participants learned about the signs, symptoms, and long-term effects of excessive screen use and strategies for promoting a healthy digital detox and balanced lifestyle.

Exam Stress Management: Valuable techniques for coping with academic pressure, including time management, relaxation exercises, and effective study habits, were shared to help students thrive during exam periods.
This important session was expertly Organized by the Department of Mental Health Nursing, NAMO CON.
