Silvassa, August 2026: Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its alumnus, Mr. Patel Rajkumar Vishnubhai, from the 2021–2024 batch, who has successfully qualified the prestigious Joint CSIR–UGC NET December 2025 examination in Chemical Sciences.

Mr. Rajkumar secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 72, with a percentile of 83.1902176. His achievement has earned him eligibility for Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. programmes, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey.

This remarkable accomplishment is a matter of immense pride for the College and, particularly, for the Department of Chemistry. Rajkumar’s success reflects his dedication, perseverance and commitment to academic excellence. It also highlights the institution’s continued commitment to nurturing talent and encouraging students to pursue higher education, teaching and research.
The Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Rajkumar on this remarkable accomplishment. *लायंस क्लब ऑफ सिलवासा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट द्वारा राष्ट्रप्रेम और गौरव से सजा 80वाँ स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह*
सिलवासा, 15 अगस्त 2026: लायंस क्लब ऑफ सिलवासा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट द्वारा संचालित लायंस इंग्लिश स्कूल, श्रीमती देवकीबा मोहनसिंहजी चौहान कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड साइंस एवं हवेली इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ लीगल स्टडीज एंड रिसर्च ने संयुक्त रूप से 80वाँ स्वतंत्रता दिवस हर्षोल्लास एवं गरिमा के साथ मनाया। समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि लायंस क्लब ऑफ सिलवासा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के माननीय अध्यक्ष श्री फतेहसिंहजी एम. चौहाण रहे।
समारोह से पूर्व स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स तथा एनसीसी के विद्यार्थियों ने भव्य प्रभात फेरी निकालकर देशभक्ति, राष्ट्रीय एकता एवं अनुशासन का संदेश दिया। इसके पश्चात वंदे मातरम् के सामूहिक गायन, राष्ट्रध्वज फहराने तथा राष्ट्रगान एवं झंडा गीत के साथ समारोह आगे बढ़ा। के.जी. के नन्हे विद्यार्थियों ने अतिथियों का पुष्पगुच्छ से स्वागत किया।

समारोह में संयुक्त सचिव श्री जयेंद्रसिंहजी राठौड़, कोषाध्यक्ष श्री विश्वेश दवे, संयुक्त कोषाध्यक्ष श्री हीराभाई पटेल, प्रबंध समिति सदस्य श्री अभिषेकसिंहजी चौहाण, प्राचार्या डॉ. सीमा पिल्लई, डॉ. शिल्पा तिवारी, श्रीमती निराली पारेख, उपप्रधानाचार्याएँ श्रीमती पारुल गुप्ता एवं श्रीमती ममता नागरकोटी सहित शिक्षकगण, विद्यार्थी, अभिभावक एवं अतिथिगण उपस्थित रहे।
विद्यार्थियों ने देशभक्ति गीत, नृत्य एवं नाट्य प्रस्तुतियों से राष्ट्रप्रेम और भारतीय संस्कृति के विविध रंग प्रस्तुत किए। सुश्री सुनंदा द्विवेदी ने भारत की आत्मकथा की प्रभावशाली प्रस्तुति दी, जबकि महाविद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों ने नशामुक्त भारत का संदेश देने वाला नुक्कड़ नाटक प्रस्तुत किया। श्रीमती रेणु शर्मा एवं श्री आशीष राजानी ने देशभक्ति गीत प्रस्तुत किए।
विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं एवं खेलकूद में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले विद्यार्थियों को सम्मानित किया गया। श्रीमती केतना चौहान को Science Olympiad Foundation द्वारा Best Overall Coordinator Award 2025–26 प्रदान किया गया। विद्यालय की काउंसलर श्रीमती ऋचा सिंह की पुस्तक I Am Committed… Are You? का विमोचन भी किया गया।
अपने संबोधन में श्री फतेहसिंहजी एम. चौहाण ने स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों एवं शहीदों को नमन करते हुए विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षा, अनुशासन, प्रतिभा-विकास एवं राष्ट्रनिर्माण के प्रति समर्पित रहने का संदेश दिया। उन्होंने संस्था की प्रगति में शिक्षकों, कर्मचारियों एवं अभिभावकों के योगदान की सराहना की।
कार्यक्रम का समापन श्रीमती सुमन चौधरी के आभार प्रदर्शन एवं राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ।
इस प्रकार 80वाँ स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह राष्ट्रप्रेम, उपलब्धियों और विकसित भारत के संकल्प के साथ सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ।

*Roaring for Conservation: International Tiger Day Celebrated at Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science*

Silvassa: Smt. Devkiba Mohansinhji Chauhan College of Commerce and Science, under the aegis of the Lions Club of Silvassa Charitable Trust, celebrated International Tiger Day on 29th July 2026 with the objective of spreading awareness about tiger conservation and the importance of preserving wildlife and biodiversity.

The programme featured a screening of the documentary *Tigers Jungle* by Nat Geo Animals, which highlighted the majestic lives of tigers, the challenges they face in the wild, and the urgent need for their conservation. The documentary inspired students to appreciate the ecological significance of tigers as apex predators and their vital role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem.

An informative awareness session was conducted by Ms. Rinkal Parmar, who spoke about India’s tiger conservation efforts, the threats of habitat loss and poaching and the collective responsibility of every citizen in protecting wildlife. Her interactive session motivated students to become environmentally conscious and actively support biodiversity conservation.

The programme concluded with a pledge to protect wildlife and promote environmental sustainability. The college expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Chairman, Shri Fatehsinhji M. Chauhan, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support and to Principal Dr. Seema Pillai for her constant guidance and encouragement, which contributed to the successful organization of the programme.
