“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.” — Rudyard Kipling

A mother is the first teacher, strongest supporter, and the guiding light in every individual’s life. Her unconditional love, endless sacrifices, and constant encouragement shape our values, dreams, and future. Mothers inspire us with their strength, patience, and selfless care every single day.

Mother’s Day is a special occasion to celebrate and express gratitude for the countless contributions mothers make in building families and nurturing generations. Their silent efforts and unwavering belief become the foundation behind every achievement and success.

The Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri wishes all mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. Your love and sacrifices continue to inspire generations every day.

“Live simply, think deeply, and act with kindness.” — Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is a day that softly reminds us of Gurudev’s presence in our lives—not just through his words, but through the way he taught us to feel, to think, and to live with purpose.

His writings and songs remind us to stay connected to nature, understand people around us, and value kindness in everyday life. He believed education should shape our character and help us grow as better human beings, not just fill our minds with facts. On this day, we reflect on his thoughts and the values he stood for—creativity, freedom, and humanity.

Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri pays tribute to Rabindranath Tagore. May his words continue to guide us in living a thoughtful and meaningful life, encouraging us to think independently, act with empathy, and contribute positively to society in our own small ways.

"He alone is a true king who practices righteousness." — Guru Gobind Singh

Baisakhi is a beautiful reminder of fresh beginnings, the joy of harvest, and the rewards of hard work. It brings with it a sense of happiness, gratitude, and togetherness, encouraging us to appreciate the little things and move ahead with positivity.

It is celebrated to mark the harvest of rabi crops and also holds deep historical importance as the day when the Khalsa Panth was established by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. This moment continues to inspire values of courage, equality, and strong faith.

The Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri, extends warm wishes on the occasion of Baisakhi. May this festival fill your hearts with happiness, bring peace to your mind, and inspire us all to live with kindness, strength, and a sense of togetherness.

Alumni Power in Action: BIT Sindri’s 1975-79 Batch Steps Up for Needy Students

There are moments when money becomes the only thing standing between a bright young mind and a promising future. At BIT Sindri, the seniors from the 1975-79 batch have decided that no talented student should ever have to drop their dreams because of financial hardship.

In a heartfelt initiative, *Prayaas-75* — the alumni group of the 1975-79 batch — signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIT Sindri. As part of this, they have deposited ₹15.75 lakh into the institute’s Endowment Fund.

Since 2021, Prayaas-75 has been quietly supporting 10 economically weak but deserving second-year students every year. These students are selected not just on marks, but through a thoughtful process involving department heads and a final video interview to truly understand their struggles. So far, *50 students* have received this helping hand.

Earlier, each selected student used to get up to ₹60,000 spread over three years (second to fourth year). Following a decision taken during the Jayanti Alumni Meet in November 2025, the alumni have now increased their support by contributing this substantial amount to the Endowment Fund. This will ensure that 10 more students can continue their education without the constant worry of fees and expenses.

The MoU was signed in the presence of *Prof. Pankaj Rai*, Director of BIT Sindri, and *Prof. Prakash Kumar*, Dean (Alumni Affairs). Speaking on the occasion, they emphasized how strengthening the bond between alumni and the institution is key to building a brighter future for the next generation of engineers.

This is more than just money — it’s a message from seniors to their juniors:
“We’ve walked these corridors before. Your dreams matter, and we’ve got your back.”

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.”— Lord Jesus Christ

Good Friday reminds us of the depth of sacrifice, love, and forgiveness that defines humanity at its best. It marks a moment where Jesus endured immense suffering to bring hope to the world, showing us that even in pain, compassion and grace can prevail over everything.

It is observed in remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made for humanity. This day encourages us to think deeply about faith, compassion, and the importance of forgiving others, even when it feels difficult.

The Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri, extends heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Good Friday. May this day bring a sense of calm to your mind, courage to your heart, and inspire us all to act with empathy and kindness in our everyday lives.

Live and allow others to live, hurt no one, life is dear to all living beings.
— Lord Mahavira

Mahavir Jayanti is more than just a celebration of a birth; it is a timeless reminder of the power of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Anekantavada (multiplicity of viewpoints). In an era of constant noise, his teachings on simple living and absolute truth offer a blueprint for mindful leadership.

At its heart, this occasion reminds us that real strength lies in controlling our thoughts, being patient, and letting go of anger and ego. Even small acts of kindness and understanding can make a big difference in the world around us.

The Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri, extends warm wishes on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. May this day bring peace to your mind, positivity to your life, and inspire us all to be a little kinder every day.

रामो राजमणिः सदा विजयते रामं रमेशं भजे । रामेणाभिहता निशाचरचमू रामाय तस्मै नमः ॥

As we celebrate the sacred occasion of Ram Navami, marking the birth of Lord Ram, let us reflect on the ideals of righteousness, humility, and unwavering commitment to dharma that his life represents. This auspicious day reminds us that strength lies not merely in power, but in compassion, truth, and moral courage.

The story of Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, stands as an eternal guide for humanity. From his obedience to his parents and his exile in the forest to his battle against the tyrant Ravana, every chapter of the Ramayana embodies the triumph of virtue over arrogance and justice over evil. With the support of unwavering devotion and noble companions, Lord Ram restored harmony and righteousness, proving that adherence to dharma ultimately leads to victory.

The Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri extends its heartfelt greetings on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. May the divine virtues of Lord Ram inspire us to walk the path of truth, duty, and compassion in all aspects of life.

May this Eid bring peace to your heart, happiness to your home, and harmony to our world.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a time devoted to fasting, prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth. It symbolizes gratitude, self-discipline, and the celebration of faith, reminding us of the importance of patience, humility, and devotion in our lives.

Eid also reminds us to open our hearts with forgiveness, nurture relationships, and spread happiness wherever we go. The festival teaches us that the true celebration lies not only in festivities but in the compassion we show and the positivity we bring to the lives of others.

The Alumni Cell, BIT Sindri extends its heartfelt wishes on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. May this blessed festival bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to everyone, and inspire us all to continue spreading kindness and harmony in our communities.
