BIT Cultural Society is one of its own kinds, which exclusively focus on the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand. It provides a platform to showcase the variety of cultural wealth that long lived in Jharkhand. The students of this premier government engineering college of Jharkhand, under the Department of Science and Technology, Jharkhand took initiative to celebrate our cultural festivals like “

Karma” as “Karma Mahotsava”. Karma is one of the most celebrated illustrious festivals on the land of Jharkhand. Later on this initiation turned into the formation of “BIT Cultural Society”, which not only celebrates the “Karma”, but upholds, nourishes and preserves all the cultures and traditions in Jharkhand. Good Friday is a sacred day for Christians around the world, marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His selfless sacrifice for humanity. It is a moment for quiet reflection, prayer, and thankfulness, reminding us of the enduring values of love, compassion, and forgiveness.

On this holy occasion, devotees gather in churches, reflect on the Passion of Christ, and observe prayers and fasting to honor His supreme sacrifice.

Sarhul Puja is an important tribal festival celebrated across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and West Bengal. It marks the arrival of spring and the blooming of Sal flowers , symbolizing gratitude towards nature, fertility and new beginnings.

The festival honors the Sal tree through traditional dances, songs, and community feasts. Rituals are performed by the village priest (Pahan) to pray for prosperity and a bountiful harvest. Sarhul reflects the deep bond between indigenous communities and nature, while also promoting environmental awareness and cultural unity.

BIT Cultural Society extends its warm wishes to you and your family on the occasion of Sarhul Puja. May this festival fill your life with happiness, prosperity and good health.

RAGESHREE 4.0 is now officially closed.

This event stood as a proud celebration of our tribal heritage and identity. The performances in our tribal languages reflected the richness of our traditions and the pride deeply rooted within our community. Through your voices, our culture resonated with strength, dignity, and grace.

“THIS LAND IS MOTHER EARTH, OUR MOTHER, WE WILL NOT PAY RENT TO ANYONE.”

Today, we remember Tilka Manjhi (Jabra Pahadia), born in 1750 in Bihar, a fearless revolutionary and India’s first tribal leader.

Tilka Manjhi united the Adivasi community and fearlessly led an armed struggle against British colonial forces. His bravery and sacrifice laid the foundation for future uprisings, including the Santhal Rebellion of 1855 and the Revolt of 1857.

On his birth anniversary, BIT Cultural Society pays tribute to this great legend. His courage, determination, and love for freedom continue to inspire generations.

Let us honor his legacy by remembering that true leadership comes from the heart of the people and the spirit of resistance.

Raise your voice to mesmerize and revel in the timeless beauty of tribal musical heritage.

The BIT Cultural Society brings to you Rageshree 4.0, a platform to showcase your culture through the beauty of your voice.
The rules and guidelines are as follows :-
1. The song The song must be performed in a tribal language.
2. Each entry should be 40-60 seconds long.
3. Songs should be respectful, suitable, and may be in any tribal language. No vulgar content will be allowed.
4. Only portrait made videos  will be accepted.
5. Self written songs and use of musical instruments will award you extra points.
6. Participation is allowed in solo, duo, or groups of three.
7. Participants are not permitted to use any musical apps.

9. The video will be posted on Instagram only in reel formats.
10. Make sure to specify the tribal language used in the song.
