The CDLU campus echoed with patriotic fervour as Tiranga Yatra was organised on 14 August 2026 to mark Independence Day. The programme was jointly organised by the Dean Student Welfare, Dean Youth Welfare, NSS and NCC.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vijay Kumar, Registrar Dr. Sunil Kumar, Director Youth Welfare Prof. Manju Nehra, NSS Coordinator Dr. Rohtas, faculty members, non-teaching staff and students enthusiastically participated in the Yatra.

Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on 14 August to remember the suffering, displacement and sacrifices of millions affected by the Partition of 1947.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vijay Kumar urged students to learn from history and strengthen peace, harmony and brotherhood to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again. He called upon youth to channel their energy towards nation-building and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa will organise various patriotic and awareness activities from 9–17 August 2026 under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, as per the Government of India and Higher Education Department, Haryana.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vijay Kumar called upon faculty, staff and students to proudly hoist the Tricolour and actively participate in the campaign, describing the Tiranga as a symbol of national pride, unity and commitment to the nation.
