Pandian Saraswati Yadav Engineering College, jointly with the District Administration, Sivaganga, is organizing the 7-day Yuva Aapda Mitra Volunteer Training Programme from 04.08.2026 to 10.08.2026, a flagship initiative of the Government of Tamil Nadu to equip youth with disaster preparedness and emergency response skills.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Selvasurabi, District Revenue Officer (DRO), Sivaganga, as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by officials from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire and Rescue Services Department, Revenue Department, Health Department, and the Scout Movement, who highlighted the importance of disaster preparedness and community resilience.
The programme has brought together 300 NSS student volunteers from various colleges in and around Sivaganga District. During the 7-day training (04.08.2026–10.08.2026), participants will receive hands-on training in disaster preparedness, first aid, search and rescue, fire safety, emergency response, and community resilience.

Together, we prepare. Together, we protect. Together, we serve.
