Smart healthcare begins with understanding how medicines work in real life.

Eye drops are designed to be sterile and effective, but their safety depends on how they are used and stored. Once opened, most eye drops are safe for about 28 days, after which the risk of contamination increases due to exposure to air and contact. Over time, preservatives also lose their effectiveness. This makes it essential to understand not just medicines, but their real-world application and safety.

At the School of Pharmacy, MIT Vishwaprayag University, students learn to go beyond theory, building practical knowledge that directly impacts patient care and everyday health decisions.
