The first session, “The Economics of the Gulf War,” featured insightful perspectives from mk venu, Anil Dua, and udit misra, moderated by Safi Ahsan Rizvi. The discussion unpacked the economic undercurrents of conflict in West Asia, focusing on energy markets, global trade flows, and the broader political economy shaping these developments. The speakers also reflected on how such disruptions influence policy choices and economic resilience, particularly for India.

The second session, “Supply Chain Disruption: Impact on India,” brought together Deekhit Bhattacharya, Kamal Madishetty, and Ambuj Sahu, moderated by Safi Ahsan Rizvi. The discussion explored how geopolitical tensions and global uncertainties are reshaping supply chains, with emphasis on rare earth minerals, trade dependencies, technological shifts, and India’s positioning in an evolving global order.

The conversations highlighted the growing importance of resilience, diversification, and strategic foresight in navigating an increasingly uncertain world.

Rashtram, Rishihood University, in collaboration with the India Habitat Centre New Delhi , successfully hosted a panel discussion on “𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬: 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝”.

The discussion unpacked one of India’s most significant yet under-discussed transformations—the sharp decline of Left-Wing Extremism over the past decade. From over 100 affected districts to a few residual pockets, and with violence reduced by over 80%, the session highlighted how a major internal security challenge has been structurally weakened.

The conversation also emphasised how technology, administrative presence, and community participation have played a critical role in shifting aspirations. As access and opportunity expand, regions once defined by conflict are increasingly moving towards stability, growth, and integration into the national mainstream.

Sustaining this progress will require continued focus on inclusive development, responsive governance, and strengthening local institutions—ensuring that peace translates into long-term prosperity.
