The Jindal Center for Israel Studies(JCIS), at the Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), O.P. Jindal Global University is excited to invite applications to its 5-Day International Workshop on 'Israel In Its own Image: From 1948 War to Gaza War', which explores the complex realities of the State of Israel since its establishment and given the October 7, 2023 attack and its aftermath. The workshop aims to explore the story of Israel to understand its history, society, and foreign policy from January 25-29, 2026.
This workshop is organized in collaboration with the Israel Institute, Washington DC, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and אוניברסיטת חיפה - University of Haifa.
The workshop is led by Prof. Dr. Khinvraj Jangid, Associate Professor and Director, Jindal Center for Israel Studies. Two scholars from Israel will teach short courses: Prof. Paula Kabalo, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and David Barak-Gorodetsky, אוניברסיטת חיפה - University of Haifa
The Five-day event will take place at the O.P. Jindal Global University campus in . It is a fully residential workshop, campus accommodation and meals will be provided as part of the workshop. The last date to apply is December 25, 2025.
Applications are invited from M.A., PhD or other research degree student who has some relevance to Israel Studies, India-Israel Relations, or West Asia/Middle East Studies. People working in the media sector, think-tanks, and research organizations are also welcome to apply if their work deals with Israel, India-Israel Relations, West Asia/Middle East Studies.
