All the students of BHSS Sopore who are interested in participating in the under 19 Football Trials scheduled to be held on 11-05-2026 at Subhama Stadium, Sopore, are hereby informed to report at 9:30 AM sharp.
Participants must come properly equipped with their sports kit, football shoes, and school uniform.
Discipline, punctuality, and sportsmanship are expected from all.

Today on 22 December 2025, National Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Boys Higher Secondary School Sopore, under the able leadership of the Principal, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Sumji.
The programme was honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Hon’ble MLA Sopore, Mr. Irshad Rasool Kar, while the Guest of Honour was Joint Director (North), Mr. Tanveer Ahmad Hakeem. The event was also graced by ADC Sopore Mr. Shabir Ahmad Raina, Prof. Abdul Rashid Dar, Mr. Sharjeel Abbas, Principal HSS Qachu Muqaam, Dr. Nazrul Islam, Mr. Ashiq Hussian Zakki and other distinguished dignitaries.
The celebration was organized to remember and honour the outstanding contribution of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, whose exceptional work laid a strong foundation in number theory, infinite series, and mathematical analysis. Speakers highlighted how Ramanujan’s life and achievements continue to inspire students to pursue excellence in mathematics despite challenges.
During the event, speakers highlighted the importance of mathematics in developing logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and analytical ability among students. Mathematics was described as the foundation of science, technology, engineering, economics, and everyday life, playing a crucial role in national development and innovation. Students were encouraged to overcome fear of the subject and adopt mathematics as a tool for reasoning, creativity, and informed decision-making.
The programme concluded on an inspiring note, leaving students motivated to appreciate and excel in mathematics.
