Research Startup Emerged from SVCE Biotechnology Labs

Phytonanos Drug Technologies Pvt. Ltd., incubated at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE), is pioneering affordable plant-based precision nanomedicines for cancer, metabolic, autoimmune, and rare diseases.

The startup is developing patented Ashwagandha root-derived nano-drugs targeting liver cancer and rare disorders with a projected â‚ą200 Crore annual market opportunity.

Backed by Govt. of India grants — ANRF: ₹18.3 Lakhs | AICTE YUKTI 2.0: ₹5 Lakhs — and collaboration with IIT Madras, the startup offers faster, scalable, side-effect-free, and cost-effective nano-drug solutions at nearly one-fifth the global market cost.

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering proudly showcases StyleCraft, a startup initiative by our current student entrepreneur S.Sharmile (Class of 2027, CSE), aimed at transforming the traditional tailoring ecosystem through technology and innovation.

STYLECRAFT
A Digital Platform Empowering Tailors & Enabling Sustainable Livelihoods

Targeting India’s ₹500 Crore Custom Clothing Market, StyleCraft envisions empowering lakhs of small-scale tailors and artisans through AI-enabled FashionTech solutions.

The platform bridges customers and skilled tailoring professionals through:
• AI-powered custom dress visualization
• Discovery of verified nearby tailors
• Personalized tailoring workflows
• Digital order tracking and communication
• Technology-led business opportunities for local tailoring professionals

By combining FashionTech, AI, and social impact, StyleCraft aims to modernize one of India’s largest yet underserved informal sectors while preserving traditional craftsmanship and improving livelihood opportunities for artisans.

The initiative was earlier recognized at the MSME IDEA Hackathon 4.0 and secured support funding of â‚ą9.86 Lakh for further development and scaling.

We are delighted to share a proud academic achievement from the Department of Civil Engineering at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE).

Our second-year Civil Engineering students successfully completed the 12-week NPTEL course on Smart Cities offered by Indian Institute of Technology Indore and secured outstanding results in the certification examination. The results are being published in a phased manner.
Students achieved:
• Elite + Gold – 90% and above
• Elite + Silver – 75% to 89%

Congratulations to all the students for their dedication and commitment to continuous learning.
At SVCE, students are encouraged to actively pursue NPTEL online courses and other industry-aligned certifications to strengthen their academic foundation, employability, and exposure to emerging technologies. Students across departments are increasingly participating in such initiatives, reflecting SVCE’s strong culture of future-ready learning and academic excellence.

BIG WIN FOR SVCE CIVIL

We are proud to announce that the Department of Civil Engineering has secured a significant grant of â‚ą1.64 Crore from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

This grant, awarded under the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM), will establish a state-of-the-art Geotextiles Research and Testing Facility on our campus.

Project Highlights:

Climate Resilience: Developing sustainable solutions for roads, drainage systems, and erosion control.

Advanced Training: Providing students with direct hands-on expertise in smart construction systems.

Industry Synergy: Strengthening the link between academic research and the technical textiles sector.
