🎨 From Colours to Creativity! 🧵✨

The 2nd Year Footwear Design students of the School of Footwear Design and Production, FDDI, visited the Weavers Service Centre as part of the practical module for the subject “Colours and Textures.”

The visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to traditional textile printing and dyeing techniques, including Block Printing, Tie & Dye, and Batik Printing. 🖐️🎨

Through this experiential learning activity, students explored how colour, texture, pattern, and craftsmanship come together to create unique surface expressions—knowledge that can be creatively translated into innovative footwear and accessory designs.

A wonderful blend of classroom learning, traditional craftsmanship, and design exploration! 🌈👣
