World AIDS Day 2025 Observed with Rally and Awareness Meeting
On the occasion of World AIDS Day – 2025, the Red Ribbon Club and Youth Red Cross (YRC) organised a large-scale awareness rally followed by a meeting on campus. More than 100 participants including students, volunteers and staff actively took part in the programme, turning the day into a vibrant canvas of awareness and responsibility.
The rally marched through the surrounding areas carrying messages on HIV/AIDS prevention, stigma-free society, and the importance of youth involvement. After the rally, an awareness meeting was conducted.
The meeting was graced by Dr. Pradeep Samantaroy as the Chief Guest, who highlighted the need for continuous awareness and responsible behaviour among young citizens.
Mr. Saroj Kumar Pujhari, serving as the Chief Speaker, addressed the misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS and benefits of blood donation.
The programme was chaired by Principal-in-charge Mr. Alok Naik, who emphasised the role of educational institutions in promoting health education.
Distinguished guests Dr. Arjun Behera, Counsellor Ms. Pragnya Paramita Das, RRC Co-ordinator Mr. Pravakar Sethy, and District Convenor & Secretary Mr. Ajit Kumar Sahoo shared their insights and motivated the participants.
The awareness meeting was hosted by Ms. Shivani Singh and concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks acknowledging the efforts of all organisers, volunteers, and participants who contributed to the success of the programme.
