Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2026 with great enthusiasm and respect to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and second President of India and a distinguished teacher and philosopher.
The programme was organised to acknowledge the valuable contribution of teachers in shaping the academic, personal and professional lives of students. The event witnessed the active participation of students, teaching staff and non-teaching staff.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the faculty members. Students expressed their gratitude and respect towards their teachers through speeches, poems, cultural performances and other engaging activities. Various activities were organised to create a joyful and memorable atmosphere. Students highlighted the important role played by teachers in imparting knowledge, developing values and guiding them towards a successful future.
On the occasion, the Principal appreciated the sincere efforts and dedication of the teaching fraternity. The importance of teachers as mentors, role models and nation-builders was highlighted. Teachers also shared their thoughts and encouraged students to remain disciplined, curious and committed to their goals.
Staff HDFC Bank Branch Sarhali Kalan honoured college staff on this event. Branch manager Sh.Pardeep Singh Lecture by Bank Branch Manager on Teachers’ congratulated the teaching fraternity on this day.
