The Department of Management Studies of Kannur University was established in the year 2000 with a motive of moulding up prospective managers with professional advancement. With the mission to provide academic nourishment and nature excellence to bring out dynamic executives, this Department has emerged as a major managerial hub, providing excellence. With the sturdy edifice and core ethical values

put to the force, the Department has persistently been successful in pursuing its aim of teaching, training, research and consultancy. The Department of Management Studies provides a two year MBA program spread over four semesters with electives in six streams: Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Production and Operations Management, Small Business Management and Systems. The dual specialization scheme assists a student to opt for any two specializations of his/her choice. A distinctive feature of the course is the choice based credit and semester system which thereby provides ample scope to the faculty and students to incorporate the emerging trends and practices in the industry as part of the curriculum. The pedagogy also includes organizational training ( at the end of 2nd sem),lectures, seminars, case studies, summer projects(at the beginning of 4th sem).
