As part of their Architectural design studios, the 3rd Semester B.Arch students embarked on a three-day study of seven architect-designed residences.

• Akam- Ar. Jinoj, Enikkara
• Chiraath- Laurie Baker, Kowdiar
• Vihara- Ar. Rahul & Ar. Malavika, Peroorkada
• Roy Bhavan- Ar. Ashok, Pipinmoodu
• Vasudha- Ar. Greeshma

Moving beyond drawings and photographs, the visits allowed students to experience architecture firsthand, observing how site, climate, materials, spatial planning, regulations, and the needs of the users come together to shape a home.

Interactions with architects and residents added another layer to the learning, offering insights into the stories, decisions, and lived experiences behind each residence.

A heartfelt thank you to all the architects and homeowners for welcoming our students and sharing their spaces, experiences, and knowledge.

We are thrilled to announce that our faculty and students have won the Community’s Choice Award at the international Ca’ Rossa Winery Competition! The project was also listed among the top projects in the competition.

The winning proposal reimagines the historic Ca’ Rossa as an inhabited ruin, thoughtfully bringing together heritage, wine, culture, and hospitality while preserving the architectural legacy of the site.

This recognition is a celebration of collective creativity, collaboration, and dedication.
