International Academic Interaction Session

The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Autonomous, had the privilege of hosting Prof. Dr. Devadathan Nair, Moscow State Institute of International Affairs, Russia, on 11 December 2025.

During his visit, Prof. Dr. Nair conducted an engaging and interactive session with the students, focusing on the emerging career opportunities for pharmacy professionals in Russia. He provided valuable insights into career prospects, research avenues, and professional pathways available in Russia.

He also emphasized the importance of learning the Russian language and understanding the cultural and academic environment as key factors for successfully pursuing international career opportunities.

The session was highly informative and motivating, offering students a broader global perspective and encouraging them to explore international avenues in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

Global Launch of CliniPharmaCon 3.0 at Dubai

On 9th December 2025, His Excellency Salem Marshood Alhefeiti, CEO of Fujairah Creative City Media Free Zone, officially launched CliniPharmaCon 3.0 at UAE, in the august presence of our MD and CEO, Dr. Shaiju David Alfi. The launch highlighted this year’s central theme, “From Gene to Healing - Redefining Therapy,” which emphasizes the transformative journey from genomic insights to personalized therapeutic interventions and improved patient outcomes. His Excellency appreciated the vision behind advancing precision medicine, clinical research, and global pharmaceutical innovation through this pioneering conference.

Fujairah Scientific Club Welcomes the CEO of The Dale View College of Pharmacy & Research Centre, India.

Dr. Saif Mohammed Obaid Almoaili, Director of the Fujairah Scientific Club, welcomed in his office Dr. Shajiu David Alfi, our CEO as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The visit, which extended over two days, comes as a continuation of the previously signed scientific agreement between the Fujairah Scientific Club and The Dale View College, aiming to develop joint educational and research programs and promote the exchange of expertise between scientific institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India.

During the meetings, Dr. Shajiu David praised the vital role played by the Fujairah Scientific Club in empowering youth and fostering innovation.

Both parties discussed several potential scientific and research initiatives that could expand collaboration, support student and staff exchange programs, and enhance cooperation in innovation, research development, publications, and patents.

They also exchanged commemorative gifts and explored initial concepts for drafting an implementation agreement to activate and expand the existing partnership between the two institutions.

During the visit, our MD & CEO extended an official invitation to the Government of Fujairah, represented by the Fujairah Scientific Club.

Dr. Saif Almoaili emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting the club’s forward-looking vision and enhancing the participation of Emirati youth in international scientific and research environments. He affirmed that cooperation with global academic institutions opens new avenues for innovation and talent development.

HPV Vaccination Awareness Session conducted on 3rd December 2025 at The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre (Autonomous), in collaboration with KIMS Health Hospital, Trivandrum.

The objective of the programme was to enhance awareness on Human Papilloma virus (HPV) infection, its link to cervical cancer, and the significance of timely vaccination.

The session handled by Dr. Shabin K Siddique, Radiation Oncology Specialist, who delivered an insightful presentation on HPV-related cancers, preventive strategies, vaccination schedules, and screening practices. Her session effectively addressed myths and misconceptions, emphasizing the importance of early immunization to reduce cancer risk.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants clarified their queries regarding vaccine safety, eligibility, and availability. The session was well-received and significantly helped in sensitizing students about preventive oncology and public health.

AIDS Day Celebrations of Team NSS at Railway Hospital, Trivandrum

As part of the World AIDS Day observance, on 01/12/2025, NSS volunteers of The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre (Autonomous) actively participated in an awareness programme at the District Railway Hospital, Southern Division, Pettah, Trivandrum.

The event aimed to educate the public, patients, and staff about HIV/AIDS and reinforce the global commitment to prevention and stigma reduction.

The programme began with an informative awareness session, where volunteers highlighted key topics such as HIV transmission, preventive strategies, the significance of early screening, available treatment options, and the importance of supporting individuals living with HIV. The session was interactive, engaging, and designed to clear common misconceptions, thereby promoting a more informed and compassionate community.

Following the session, the NSS team delivered a powerful thematic skit depicting real-life scenarios related to HIV/AIDS. The skit effectively showcased myths and facts about the condition, the social challenges faced by affected individuals, and the need for empathy and social acceptance. The performance was highly appreciated for its clarity, creativity, and emotional depth.

The event at Railway Hospital successfully created awareness among attendees and emphasized the collective responsibility in combating stigma and promoting public health. The dedication and active involvement of the NSS volunteers reflect their strong commitment to social service and community welfare.

One-Day Hands-on Workshop on Phytochemical Techniques & Scientific Writing.

The Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy successfully conducted a highly interactive workshop on Phytochemical Techniques & Scientific Writing for B.Pharm and M.Pharm students on 24th November 2025 at R & D Lab.

Expert scientists from Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram including Dr. K. B. Ramesh Kumar and Dr. Anil John J, led an exciting practical work shop sessions where students actively performed Column Chromatography, Thin Layer Chromatography, Clevenger Distillation, Soxhlet Extraction, and participated in a Perfume-preparation from natural sources using extracted essential oils.

These sessions enhanced students laboratory skills in isolating, extracting, and analyzing valuable phytoconstituents from medicinal plants.

Certificates were awarded to all participants, and the workshop received excellent feedback for being informative, skill-oriented, and inspiring young researchers to further explore the world of natural products.

On 21st November 2025, ReAct Asia Pacific, a leading international network dedicated to action on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), in association with The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre (Autonomous), organized an awareness session themed “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future” as part of Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week.

ReAct is globally recognized for its strong advocacy, evidence-based strategies, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at tackling AMR, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Through community engagement, policy support, and educational collaborations, ReAct works to safeguard the effectiveness of antibiotics for future generations.

During the program, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between ReAct Asia Pacific and The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre to foster sustained collaboration in the fields of AMR research, academic development, and community-based antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.

The session featured expert talks by Dr. S. S. Lal, Dr. Ijya, and Dr. K. G. Revikumar, who addressed key topics including the increasing threat of antimicrobial resistance, preventive strategies, the vital role of pharmacists in combating AMR, and the implementation of robust antibiotic stewardship programs.

MoU SIGNING CEREMONY

On 18/11/2025 , we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with White Memorial Homoeopathic Medical College , Attoor, Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu.

The agreement focuses on facilitating student training, internship opportunities, faculty exchange, collaborative research projects, and the sharing of laboratory and academic resources.

The ceremony was attended by representatives and co-ordinators from both institutions, who highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary learning, innovation-driven initiatives, and capacity-building programs. Through this MoU, both institutions aim to organize joint seminars, workshops, community outreach activities, and professional development programs that will enrich the learning environment and promote excellence in healthcare education. The partnership marks a significant step toward fostering long-term collaboration and creating new opportunities for academic and professional growth for students and faculty alike.

CHILDRENS DAY CELEBRATIONS

The NSS unit of The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre Autonomous organized a bundle of programmes as part of Childrens Day celebration on 14th November, at CSI LP school Mylom, Aruvikkara.

Our NSS volunteers successfully completed the initiative of creating an ambient play area for rural students aimed at promoting safe recreation, creativity and physical activity among children. NSS volunteers actively participated in cleaning the premises, setting up play equipment, painting walls with child friendly themes and arranging indoor corners.

The project focused on providing a joyful inclusive, and supportive environment for students in the rural community who have limited access to recreational facilities. The newly created digital play area has been warmly inaugurated by Dr Shaiju David Alfi ,MD & CEO, The Dale View group of institutions along with the kids, this was followed by childrens day celebrating featuring games, cultural activities, and interactive sessions with the kids. Food fiesta was also arranged for the kids and their families. The programme was a grand success, reflecting the dedication of NSS volunteers and creating a memorable and meaningful experience for all participants.

The programme not only brought joy to the children but also strengthened the teamwork and social commitment of NSS volunteers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, supporters who contributed to making the day meaningful and memorable.
