* Upgradation with the beginning of post graduate courses in 2005
* Conducted mega national level science fair exhibition in 2006
* Conducted national level inter collegiate volley ball tournament 2006
* Establishment of the Centre for biosciences and tissue culture laboratory for inter-disciplinary research in 2008

The institution has multistoreyed building and endowed with state-of-art training facilities. The college rightfully boasts of a well equipped library with an excellent collection of reference books. Experienced faculty with proven reputation and dedication are on the rolls of the institution. Apart from promoting in students a desire to strive for academic excellence great emphasis is placed on discipline, religious and moral values. There is a Women’s Study Centre of University of Kerala, functioning in the college which aims at promoting scoial awareness among the girl students. Skill classes (Managerial and Communicative) are arranged for all students of the college. Entrepreneurship development and Time Management classes are specially arranged for the benefit of the students. To promote reading habit among the students, the college has a Book Club, which hosts periodic meetings, debates and lectures. Adequate training and facilities in sports, including a multi-gym are provided in the campus by trained faculty. On the whole, every effort is taken to give the students wider educational opportunities. The Management and Administration hopefully aspire to elevate the college to the level of others such listed institutions included under the broad spectrum of UGC for the overall development of modern education in the nation. I. Degree Admission Process is on for the academic year 2014 – ’15.
II. Final Selection of the College Cricket Team is set and the Team is ready for participate the Kerala University Intercollegiate Meet.
III. Mr. Shambu. K. K, Dept. of Commerce and Mr. Shine Singh, Dept. of Physical Education attended the Legal Awareness Classes for 2nd Year Degree students of colleges in Thiruvananthapuram District for the academic year 2014 – ’15 meeting held on 05/08/2014 at 3.00 p.m. at the Court Hall of the District Court, Vanchiyoor. The Hon’ble Chairman of the District Legal Service Authority (District Judge, Thiruvananthapuram) presided the meeting.

The process for DEGREE ADMISSION for 2014 – 15 commenced. The 1st Allotment for Merit Admission has been released by the University. Candidates with high marks only have come in the list so far. Registrations for admissions in MANAGEMENT QUOTA have also started.

It is a matter of consolation that the extension work (construction) of the new building is in progress. It will help the commencement of new courses in time.

Degree results of 2013 – 14 have been announced by the University and our B.Com. results have also been published and our students secured very high percentage.

The Degree Admission Process (2014 – ’15 Batch) commenced during this week as the results of +2 and VHSE have been released. The details about our 10 Degree Courses (including BSW and B.A. Communicative Arabic – New Courses) are published by the University in their website.
Application Forms for Management Quota seats will be issued from the College Office on 15/05/2014 onwards.

A Campus Recruitment was conducted by M/s. Volkswagon India Pvt. Ltd., Thiruvananthapuram on 13/05/2014 in the college for the placement of Customer Relation Executives. A shortlist of the selected candidates will be sent by the company shortly.

The expansion work of the New Block is commenced and it adds to the enthusiasm and confidence of all.

I. Our student Vishnu Vinod. V of Ist Year M.Com. secured Third Position in POWER LIFTING 74 Kg. in the Kerala University Inter Collegiate Competitions held at St. Cyrill College, Adoor on 22nd and 23rd of January, 2014.
II. Our Final Year B.Sc. Electronics student Rohit Reghunath won SILVER in TAEKWONDO – KNORUGI District Competition held at LNCP Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram by January 2014.
III. Krishnan Unni, Hareesh, Kishore and Kiran of our Final Year M.Sc. Electronics (2012 – ’14 batch) students started a firm “TECHNOVA” guiding students of UG, PG and Engineering Courses. The details of the organization and the insight view was published in the daily – ‘Mathrubhoomi’ dated 24/01/2014 with the caption “SWAPNACHIRAKIL NALVARSANGAM”.
IV. Renjit. R of M.Sc. Electronics evolved a Human Transporter – SEGWAY – as part of his Final Project.
An inspiring coverage was given in the daily ‘The New Indian Express’ dated 10/02/2014 with the caption “Student Develops Human Transporter”.
