Yesterday, Breakthrough Science Society – Thiruvananthapuram Chapter, Pulmonary Research Initiative of Trivandrum (PRIOT) and CHRIST University Nodal Office, Thiruvananthapuram, and jointly hosted a public science lecture on

“From Autoimmunity to Cancer Therapy: The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.”

Dr. Pradip Nair took the audience through the Nobel‑winning discoveries on regulatory T cells and immune tolerance, and how they are reshaping treatments for autoimmune diseases and cancer.

We were thrilled to host Dr. Craig Edward DeForest from NASA for a special lecture on the groundbreaking PUNCH Space Mission, right here at Nodal, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Trivandrum.

Dr. DeForest shared insights into how NASA captures images of the nearly invisible solar wind streaming from the sun, a feat that helps us understand space like never before.

We were also honored to have Prof. Dipankar Banerjee, Vice Chancellor of IIST, and senior faculty join us, highlighting the power of collaboration in science.

A big thank you to Breakthrough Science Society, IIST, and CHRIST University for bringing this inspiring event to life.

The third chapter of UNMUTE was successfully conducted at the CHRIST University Nodal Office, Vazhuthacaud, in collaboration with the AAHAS Foundation.

The session featured Ms. Devika Jayssell, Director at MH2 Foundation, who shared valuable insights on menstrual health advocacy and the importance of fostering stigma-free, inclusive learning environments.

UNMUTE continues to serve as a platform for dialogue, awareness, and action, shaping spaces that promote equality, understanding, and empowerment through education.
