The Student Induction Programme, 2026 (Deeksharambh) was organized by the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell), Lilong Haoreibi College, Lilong on Saturday, the 8th of August, 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall of Lilong Haoreibi College.
The gathering was welcomed by Shandham Sanjay Singh, Member, IQAC, LHC, who delivered the welcome address and highlighted the importance of the induction programme in familiarizing students with the academic environment and values of the institution.
Md. Illyas, Nodal Officer, ABC & Voc., LHC, spoke on the Academic Bank of Credits and vocational education. Mohd Ahmed Raza, Nodal Officer, Scholarship, LHC, explained the scholarship facilities available to students. N. Mohen Singh, Librarian, LHC, introduced the library resources and services. Md. Shahid Khan, Convener, AA & NSS Programme Officer, LHC, briefed the students about co-curricular and extension activities. SM Farid Khan, General Secretary, LHCSU 2025–26, also addressed the gathering and welcomed the freshers on behalf of the students’ union.
The college felicitated Olivia Wangkhem, alumna of the 2015 batch, for securing 19th Rank in the MPSC MCSCCE 2022 Examination, inspiring the newly admitted students with her achievement.
The dignitaries then delivered their addresses. Alhaj Arzad Ali, President, Alumni Association, LHC, attended as the Guest of Honour and encouraged students to make meaningful use of their college life. A. Dhaneshwar Singh, Retired Head of the Department of Physics, LHC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and shared valuable insights on education, character building, and lifelong learning. The programme was presided over by Prof. Md. A. Sattar Shah, Principal, Lilong Haoreibi College, who delivered the presidential speech emphasizing academic excellence, discipline, and holistic development.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. N. Bino Devi, Member, IQAC, LHC, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, guest of honour, president, faculty members, students, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
