Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, bringing together the entire campus community in the spirit of freedom, unity and patriotism.
The celebrations began with the assembly of NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, faculty, staff and students, followed by the formation of the NCC contingent at the Flag Mast. The Chairman & Managing Trustee, Principal, distinguished guests and dignitaries were warmly welcomed before the national flag was hoisted.
The ceremony continued with a proud NCC salute and the National Anthem, followed by the Independence Day Parade. The gathering was then addressed by the dignitaries, with inspiring messages highlighting the values of freedom, unity and responsibility towards the nation.
Adding colour and energy to the celebrations, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers presented patriotic cultural performances, followed by a grand cultural presentation near the Flag Mast.
The celebration then moved beyond the campus with the Independence Day Cultural Rally, featuring vibrant cultural presentations at Pampady Town and Thiruvilwamala Town. The rally returned to the college campus, where further addresses by the Associate NCC Officer and NSS Programme Officer, the National Integration Pledge, group photograph and refreshments brought the celebrations to a meaningful close.
From the flag hoisting to the parade, cultural performances and rally, every moment reflected the pride, unity and spirit of a free India. 🇮🇳
