Department of Nanotechnology Department under Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education offering UG, PG and Ph.D degree courses in Nanotechnology – started in the year 2009 B.Tech.

Noorul Islam College of Engineering , the constituent teaching unit of Noorul Islam University , was established in the year 1989-90 , with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education and started offering M.Tech. Nanotechnology – Started in the year 2011. Noorul Islam University is situated in Kumaracoil,Thuckalay,Kanyakumari (dist).,Tamilnadu since, our university has various depart

ments including NANOTECHNOLOGY with advanced instruments and Labs. Our department has various characterization instruments like Atomic Force Microscope (AFM),UV spectroscopy, Fourier transform analyzer,etc......and we have synthesis laboratory with enough facilities,there we have planetary motion ball-milling machine,muffle furnace,vacuum chamber, sonicator,etc....
Our department has planned to start a new association for the welfare of the students.The association was named as Nanophilicians meaning "lovers of Nano". It was associated on October 29th ,2013 With the successful efforts of our department students and faculty,our inaugural function arrived the great success. Followed by that Inspire NANO 2015 was conducted on 21st Feb 2015 with the great success. Inspire Nano was a programme which prived an opportunity to gain insights on Nanotechnology through lectures and practical sessions. And now From the association of Nanophilicians plan to inaugurate a symposium in the name of Nanoyuga’16 on 19th Feb 2016.
