Jamal Mohamed College of Teacher Education, Tiruchirappalli, organized a Communication Skills Training Programme under the Shakespeare’s Literary Club on 21st and 22nd September 2026.
The sessions were handled by H. Nazeela Begam, Assistant Professor of English, and Mr. S. Sheik Ismail, Coordinator of English (SF – Men and Women), Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous). The programme focused on developing students’ effective communication, confidence, speaking skills and interpersonal abilities.

The Internal Complaints Committee and Anti-Drug Abuse Committee of Jamal Mohamed College of Teacher Education organized an impactful Awareness Programme titled “Awareness to Action: Safe, Drug-Free & Cyber-Smart Society” . The Keynote Address was delivered by T. Poovizhippraba, T. Vengateshwari, and B. Banumathi from the Singappen Special Task Force, Tiruchirappalli City, who shared valuable insights on women’s safety, drug prevention, and cyber awareness.

Jamal Mohamed College of Teacher Education, Tiruchirappalli, organized a Bridge Course for Freshers – 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall. On 16th September 2026, Dr. S. Akbar Ali, Assistant Professor of English, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli – 20, served as the resource person and delivered a session on “Read to Lead: The Power of Reading”. The session highlighted the importance of reading habits in enhancing knowledge, language skills, and personal development among fresher student teachers.

Teaching Aids Making Programme was conducted for the B.Ed. student teachers on 4th September 2026. The programme aimed to develop their creativity, innovation, and practical skills in preparing effective teaching-learning materials.
The student teachers actively participated in preparing various teaching aids such as charts, models, flash cards, concept maps, and other low-cost materials using locally available resources.
