The Top 5 Frequently Asked Interview Questions to Prepare On!

The first round in most interviews is the aptitude test and clearing it is not too difficult. But when it comes to the interviews, now that’s a whole different ball game especially the HR interviews. Most engineering and MBA students would know what I’m talking about.
So allow me to give you a hand in this little matter. Here are a couple of questions that are commonly asked in interviews .

1.Tell me about yourself
This is almost definitely the first question that would be asked in an interview. Talking from personal experience, in about 5 interviews that I attended, every single one involved me having to answer this question. Now the trick is to talk about your main attributes. That would be something like which you are, where you’re from, your hobbies, your basic educational qualifications etc.

2.Tell us your weakness
Now this is something like a trick question. Everybody has weaknesses and the interviewer is well aware of that too. They want to see if you know yourself well. Stating outright that you don’t have any would obviously be the wrong thing to do in this case right? Keep it simple. If you have understood yourself well, you should be able to answer this fine. Unfortunately, the only advice here is to really try and understand your own personality. Nothing else will help.

3.Tell us your strength
Now this one gets them all the time. If you are asked this question, make sure that you answer it honestly. You can state about 3 or 4 strengths but whatever you claim, make sure you can back it up because the interviewer’s next question might be to verify exactly that.

4.What is your recent accomplishment
Choose one that is more professionally relevant. This is a good time to illustrate how you can contribute to the company if you are successfully recruited, so it will be to your advantage if you mention an achievement that applies to the position.

5.Do you have any questions to ask me?
I’m honestly not sure what the interviewers expect you to ask them but not asking anything could give them the impression that you’re not very keen about the job. Keep your questions to whatever you know about the job profile, your doubts relating to the industry or just about anything else you can think of. However, make sure your doubts are genuine and not just asked for the sake of being asked.
