The National Cadet Corps unit Army Wing for men was started in the year 1977 in our college. The total strength of cadets sanctioned by the 2TN Battalion is 75 Boys. The NCC being a uniformed discipline has a very strong influence on the young minds in the college. All the NCC students are trained as per the norms and methods of the NCC. Sivakumar, Director, Department of Physical Education is the
officer in charge of the boys division. Vasantha, Lecturer in commerce, is the officer in charge for the girls wing. The NCC Cadets are disciplined and their ceremonial presentation of Guard of Honour on all important occasions instills a national pride and decorum in the minds of the students. NCC Officers Honour
Lt. Sivakumar was selected to command the Parade as Parade Commander for the Honorary Colonel Commandant Rank Awarding Ceremony to Dr. C. Thangamuthu the Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University on 9th Nov 2005. Future Plans
The College has plans of expanding the NCC with the sanction to accommodate more students and brought under this discipline. The introduction of NCC Air Wing is Contemplated by the Principal and the Management in the near future.
