Aerodrome Day Celebration – Aircraft Model Building Activity
The Department of Aviation & Ground Handling, Bishop Heber College, celebrated Aerodrome Day on 18th September 2026 with active participation from faculty members and students.
As part of the celebration, an engaging Aircraft Model Building Activity was organized for the students. First- and second-year students participated enthusiastically by designing and building small aircraft models capable of flying. The activity provided students with practical exposure to basic concepts of aerodynamics, aircraft design, lift, drag, balance, and flight principles.
The hands-on activity created an interactive learning environment, allowing students to apply classroom concepts practically and test their models through actual flight trials. Overall, the session was engaging, informative, and a valuable experiential learning opportunity for the students.
