GENESIS OF SVEC

Endowed with sylvan surroundings, modern infrastructure and ambient learning environment, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC) is forging ahead to achieve academic excellence. Mohan Babu, Padma Shri awardee has grown in its size and stature over the years, from an initial intake of 180 to 2232 students. SVEC is one of the largest Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and

the first of its kind in Rayalaseema. It offers 9 B.Tech programs, 8 M.Tech programs, MCA Program and AICTE has also accorded permission for 2nd Shift Polytechnic from the academic year 2009-10. Presently 5 Diploma courses are offered by 2nd Shift Polytechnic with faculty strength of over 350. With consistent and excellent academic performance of students in the University examinations, the College has endeared itself to many students and parents. The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTU Anantapur. The College is known for its quality initiatives which are reflected in accreditations by NBA and many multinational organizations such as TCS, WIPRO and IBM. SVEC is selected for participation in TEQIP-II under Sub-component 1.1: Strengthening Institutions to improve Learning Outcomes and Employability of Graduates, funded by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. The College is accorded Autonomous Status by the UGC, New Delhi from the Academic Year 2010-2011 and is all set to seek Deemed University Status in near future. The College has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore for a period of 5 Years with a CGPA of 3.11 on a four point scale at A Grade valid from 23-03-2013. Many eminent academicians and dignitaries who visited the College have acclaimed the quality of education imparted in the College and appreciated its achievements since its inception. PLACEMENTS : Vibrant Training and Placement activities are the mainstay of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC), besides academics and students’ progression. Placement and Training Programs like Campus Connect in collaboration with TCS, Infosys, IBM and WIPRO have helped in bridging the gap between Industry and academia and in providing training in technical and soft skills, which has enhanced the employability of the students. In view of this, despite global meltdown, the College is able to get placements for its students through sustained efforts.

కుదిరితే పరిగెత్తు లేకపోతే నడువు,
అదీ చేతకాకపోతే పాకుతూ పో,
అంతేకానీ ఒకేచోట అలా కదలకుండా ఉండిపోకు..
ఉద్యోగం రాలేదని,వ్యాపారం దెబ్బతిందని,స్నేహితుడొకడు మోసం చేశాడని, ప్రేమించిన వాళ్ళు వదిలి వెళ్లిపోయారని అలాగే ఉండిపోతే ఎలా?
దేహానికి తప్ప దాహానికి పనికిరాని ఆ సముద్రపు కెరటాలే ఎగిసి ఎగిసి పడుతుంటే..
తలుచుకుంటే నీ తలరాత ఇంతే అన్నవాళ్లు కూడా నీ ముందు తలదించుకునేలా చేయగల సత్తా నీది,
అలాంటిది ఇప్పుడొచ్చిన ఆ కాస్త కష్టానికే తలొంచేస్తే ఎలా?
సృష్టిలో చలనం ఉన్నది ఏదీ ఆగిపోకూడదు,
పారే నది..
వీచే గాలి…
ఊగే చెట్టు..
ఉదయించే సూర్యుడు…
అనుకున్నది సాధించాలని నీలో కసికసిగా ప్రవహిస్తుందే ఆ నెత్తురుతో సహా…
ఏదీ ఏదీ ఆగిపోవడానికి వీల్లేదు.
లే బయలుదేరు, నిన్ను కదలనివ్వకుండా చేసిన ఆ మానసిక భాదల సంకెళ్ళను తెంచేసుకో..
పడ్డచోటు నుండే పరుగు మొదలుపెట్టు,
నువ్వు పడుకునే పరుపు నిన్ను చీదరించుకోకముందే బద్ధకాన్ని వదిలేయ్..
నీ అద్దం నిన్ను ప్రశ్నించకముందే సమాధానం వెతుక్కో..
నీ నీడ నిన్ను వదిలేయకముందే వెలుగులోకి వచ్చేయ్..
మళ్ళీ చెప్తున్నా కన్నీళ్లు కారిస్తే కాదు చెమట చుక్కని చిందిస్తేనే చరిత్రను రాయగలవని తెలుసుకో…
చదివితే ఇవి పదాలు మాత్రమే..ఆచరిస్తే అర్జునుడి గాండీవం నుండి దూసుకుని వచ్చే అస్త్రాలు.
