A three-day training programme on “Doubling the Farmers’ Income through Preparation and Marketing of Value-Added Meat Products” was successfully organized by Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary Science, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati with full financial assistance of the ICAR-National Meat Research Institute, Hyderabad. Dr G. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Head of the department briefed that, the participants were undergone rigorous hands on training on different value added meat products preparation like nuggets, patties, meat balls, pickle, enrobed eggs, sausages, cutlets, chicken samosa, chicken soup, chicken idlis and capsicum chicken etc., and their preservation, packaging and marketing methodologies, and economics involved and enhance their income. Dr B. Shobamani, Director of Extension and Dr P. Jagapatiramayya, Associate Dean, CVSc, Tirupati distributed certificates to the participants and also resource persons.
