We proudly congratulates Dr. G.Saravanan, Professor & Principal, on receiving the prestigious “Best Teacher Award” in the National Best Pharmacy Teacher Contest – 2025, conducted by MNR College of Pharmacy, Sangareddy, Telangana.

The contest was conducted from September 2025 to November 2025 and witnessed the participation of around 300 pharmacy teachers from various institutions across India. The award was formally conferred on 31st January 2026, marking a proud milestone for our institution.

School of Physiotherapy, in collaboration with the Greater Chennai Corporation and Real Charitable Trust, organized a World Leprosy Day 2026 Awareness Campaign near Arignar Anna Art Gallery, Kathirvedu, Chennai. BPT students actively participated by highlighting leprosy symptoms and the role of physiotherapy in leprosy management.

The campaign played a significant role in promoting awareness, empathy, early diagnosis, and comprehensive rehabilitation for individuals affected by leprosy.

VEL Nursing College organized Thyroid Awareness Week at VMCH, led by B.Sc. Nursing students.

The awareness initiative focused on educating the public about the function of the thyroid gland, the differences between hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism, the importance of early detection and routine screening, and the symptoms and management of thyroid disorders.

Activities included poster presentations, a health talk, and a drama, which effectively conveyed key messages in an engaging manner. The Chief Nursing Officer emphasized the importance of medication adherence and regular TSH screening.
