The Department of Computer Science Engineering, in association with The R&D Cell and Idea Cafe and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized IDEATHON–2025 (Version 4.0) under Quarter II activities. The event was hosted at Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi on December 5, 2025, under the ISTE Karnataka Section. The competition received an overwhelming response with 540 teams (1080 students) from 54 engineering colleges across Karnataka. Out of 232 submitted ideas, 128 teams were shortlisted for the grand finale and presented their projects before expert panels.

🎉 Successfully Completed – International Student Development Program 🎉
Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology (CIT), Gubbi, in Association with ISTE Karnataka Section organized an International Student Development Program (SDP) .
The SDP witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Pre final year students from CIT . The program focused on research translation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and academic leadership, aligned with global best practices.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with IIC and CADC, organized an expert talk titled "Technology and Manufacturing Readiness in Semiconductor Fab & Packaging: An Industry Perspective." The session was conducted on 12-02-2026 as part of the R&D initiative focusing on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) frameworks.

The primary objective of the session was to provide researchers, faculty members, and students with in-depth insights into semiconductor fabrication processes, advanced packaging technologies, and large-scale industrial manufacturing ecosystems. The expert elaborated on the critical transition of semiconductor innovations from laboratory research to full-scale industrial production, emphasizing alignment with TRL and MRL stages. The session also bridged the gap between academic research and industrial implementation by highlighting scalability, reliability, quality assurance, and commercialization challenges in the semiconductor domain.

The session was delivered by Dr. Debabrata Mohanty, a scientist at the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan, who shared valuable industry experience and global perspectives on semiconductor technology development and manufacturing strategies.
